... we have a winner!

July, as seems par for me, was a whirlwind and is now a speck in the rearview mirror. Before I backtrack too far, though, I've got to make a little announcement that I know this sweet girl has been waiting to hear "officially".

We had such a fun time wading in the lake and traipsing through the weeds. She was a great sport and up for anything I threw at her, even when we had a moment of panic and thought we might be barefoot in poison ivy. As it turned out, thanks to "the Google", we learned, "leaves of three, let it be!" and we were good to go with no worries.
